The Zero Delta Center for Enterprise Excellence is engaged in the research and development of enterprise excellence methods and business and technology best practices.  Our R&D activities are currently structured in the following manner:

ZERO DELTA : ENTERPRISE ALIGNMENT & INTEGRATION

We have been exploring how model theory can be applied to the strategic design and architecture of the modern-day enterprise.  We have created a modeling framework that allows the enterprise strategy to be defined in a consistent and complete manner using visual objects to represent industry drivers, strategic drivers, value drivers, operational drivers, and a full-range of enterprise assets -- both business and technology assets.

This approach is superior to 'traditional' enterprise architecture (e.g. Zachman) approaches.  Information Technology (IT) organizations can achieve alignment and integration between the business and IT.

ZERO DELTA : ENTERPRISE DECISION OPTIMIZATION

Click here for an overview of the Zero Delta enterprise decision management framework.

We are applying decision theory concepts to every day decisions that enterprise leaders must make.  Our research has identified a better approach to making better, more informed decisions in the areas of: mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, product and market expansion strategies, enterprise strategies, and their related tactical programme counterparts.

Enterprise Decisions represent business critical decisions that need to be made in light of the enterprise strategy and execution plans.  Often times business leaders are faced with several alternative decision options, which can complicate the decision making process.  Our natural tendency to bias a decision towards a particular direction can have devastating impacts on an organization especially if the alternative option is the wrong option.

We have developed the Zero Delta Decision Framework, which is a comprehensive approach to better decision making; the approach reduces personal bias for a particular decision and helps to identify bias in light of perceived and real risk attributes.

ZERO DELTA : CONCEPTUAL & OPERATIONAL STRATEGIC MODELING

We are applying advanced statistics and econometric modeling theories and methods against various conceptual and operational strategies that are considered at the enterprise level.  Our research and subsequent experience is focused in the following areas:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Competitive Threat Impact Analysis
  • Revenue Optimization
  • Operational Cost Structure Optimization
  • Demand & Supply Forecasting

ZERO DELTA : UNIFIED MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY

We are exploring the notion of managing the diverse aspects of a global enterprise.  Our research activities are currently focused on the intersection of strategy, risk, architecture, governance, initiatives, and performance management.  The objective of our research is to produce a general management framework that can be consistently applied across the enterprise to better align and integrate these domains and their associated practice areas.
